Most frequent questions and answers

There are 3 types of internships:

  • Professional internship: the objective is to deliver a service which is going to be used by INREGU. or by another company. The supervision is done by a Director. This type of internship is paid if the duration is more than 2 months. Duration is 1 to 12 months.
  • Study internship: the objective is to work on a research study supervised by a Professor. This internship is not paid. Duration is 1 to 12 months.
  • Start-up internship: INREGU has developed a start-up  incubation program of 12 weeks. The supervision is done by a Professor. in entrepreneurship. This internship is not paid. Duration is 3 months. 

All internships will be granted with a certificate of completion from INREGU.

UREKA Education is in charge of gathering all the registrations and select candidates. Applicants must communicate directly to UREKA. 

INREGU is in charge of the final decisions.

Via the website of INREGU, you will pay to UREKA/INREGU the registration fees (which are covering the selection process and some costs).

Additional costs to be considered:

  • Hotel and food
  • Schengen visa
  • Flight to Lyon Saint Exupery international airport
  • Personal expenses (in Euro)
  • Food (managed in group between the interns)

The locations can vary based on the type of internship or professional studies.

It can be either in a hotel located in the center of the city of Lyon or in a traditional French “gite” hosting 10 to 40 people. Men and women are separated. It can be from a single room to a dormitory style.

It can be either a co-working style in one of the gite/hotel, or at INREGU in the Catholic University of Lyon.

Research and analysis will be studied from the many students’ libraries of the University of Lyon.

You will need to send your updated resume and write a motivation letter.

You will need to check the process in your country to get the right VISA to enter France. Please visit the website of the French Embassy in your country.

Please introduce yourself and your motivations with a video.

Located inside or close to the city of Lyon, it is easy for the participants to:

  • Visit Lyon for tourism.
  • Attend recruitment meetings in a company interested in your profile.
  • Register to a French University or any school to continue postgraduate studies in France.

To enter the selection process you need to be pre-selected. Please send the following documents to the email registration@ureka.co.uk:

  • Recommendation letter from the dean of the school or a mentor.
  • Grades of the current and past years.
  • Motivation letter including: current situation, talents, successes, targeted internship position and the relevant experience to succeed in the objective, expected duration of the internship in months (for example 2 months), period during when the internship should happen (for example between May and August).
  • LinkedIn profile updated.

If you are pre-selected, you will enter the selection process. Each candidate must provide the following via email to registration@ureka.co.uk :

  • Additional recommendation letters from any Professors or mentors.
  • Video introducing the candidate and his/her motivations (to send via wetransfer.com or using a private link on YouTube).
  • PDF copy of the first page of the passport (page with photo, name, passport number…).

At the final stage of the selection, there will be a Skype interview wit a Professor from INREGU.

Contact your Institution and ask if there is an MOU signed with INREGU:

  • If no, you may advise your institution to visit the site of INREGU and contact registration@ureka.co.uk.
  • If yes, start asking some questions about the internship using the form at the bottom of this web page.

Make sure that the internship you would like to do is available when you are wishing to do it.
